Intro

Sus obras son hibridaciones complejas. Mostradas estilísticamente en un formato de aspecto abstracto, construyen un territorio imaginario, inventado a partir de metáforas, en el que no hay voluntad de correspondencia con una verdad externa.

Utiliza un lenguaje propio, gestado y madurado durante tres décadas, que no es concebido ni como rmedio, ni como expresión interior  sino simplemente como una herramienta de adecuación al entorno de un momento que le ha tocado vivir.

El proyecto del artista incluye cualquier manera eficaz de generar nuevas configuraciones del mundo a través de la experiencia con el arte. Pero no de una manera aislada, ni autorreferencial, sino conectada con el total del conocimiento humano. La geografía, la biología, la química, la programación informática y la iconografía aplicada, pueden ser algunas de sus fuentes de trabajo. La contemporaneidad de sus pinturas ofrecen buen ejemplo de ello.

En el mundo de Urzay cualquier escenario humano es susceptible de intervención artística, porque nada debe escapar al análisis de la belleza o de sus reversos. Su investigación obsesiva de procedimientos técnicos, desde los más tradicionales con pigmentos y aglutinantes hasta la manipulación digital de grabaciones audiovisuales y la interacción con públicos en escenarios específicos, muestran una permanente inquietud donde nada queda concluido, nada es definitivo.

He uses its own language, developed and matured for three decades, which is not designed nor as a representational medium  neither as  an inner expression, but merely as an adaptive tool to the environment of his own time.

The artist's project includes any effective way to generate new new world configurations through the experience of art. But not in isolation, or in a self-referential way, but connected to the total of human knowledge. Geography, Biology, chemistry, computer programming and iconography applied, may be their source of work. His contemporary paintings offer a good example of this.

In Urzay´s world any human stage is capable of artistic intervention, because nothing should escape to the analysis of beauty or its reverse. His obsessive investigation of technical procedures from traditional pigments and binders to the digital manipulation of audiovisual recordings and public interaction with specific scenarios show a continuing concern where nothing is concluded, nothing is definitive.
